
Regina Marie Fischer (born March 7, 1974) 2 is an American actress. She is most well-known for her portrayal of Pam Beesly in The Office (2005-2013). For this role she was nominated in 2007 for the Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Comedy Series. Her husband Lee Kirk directed the film that Fischer also produced. In the NBC comedy-drama You, Me and the Apocalypse she also played Rhonda McNeil. Fischer also appeared on the ABC sitcom Splitting Up Together (2018)-2019. Fischer is currently cohost of the popular podcast Office Ladies. She was the author of The Actor's Life. A Survival Guide. Fischer was raised in St. Louis and was born in Fort Wayne (Indiana). Her mother, Anne (nee Miller) is a historian Her father, James E. Fischer, is an engineer. Her parents have a younger sister, Emily, a third grade teacher. The first time she appeared was at six years old and she took part in an acting workshop together with her mom at Henry School, St. Louis. The class was also attended by Sean Gunn, the actor with whom she grew up. Then, she went on to attend Pierremont Elementary School in Manchester, Missouri, and Nerinx Hall High School, which is a private, all-girls Catholic school located in Webster Groves, Missouri.
