Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had many skills, such as being able to direct, act and produce plays, as well as write them as well as teach and serve as director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain as does her mother, who is the "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's first memories include attending play rehearsals and observing her mother at working. She appeared in many commercials when she was a child. In November 1999, Anna moved to Toronto for the purpose of advancing her acting career. She eventually shifting into Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her partner in 2009. Anna, who had converted to Judaism at the time and Seth Cooperman got wed in the month of December in Fredericton. The couple got married in April 2011, they renewed their wedding vows with a Jewish ceremony. Bo's similar-sex romance to Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted in the list of CNN's all-time most viewed Television Couples and named the Top Television Couple of 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's online popularity grew due to the popularity of the series.
